Description
This Fire Pit Art Beachcomber Fire Pit is a piece of durable, functional yard art that has a deep bowl constructed from 1/4-inch thick 304 stainless steel, designed with cut-outs modeled after conch, nautilus, and scallop shells. The outside of the unit features a rich iron oxide patina that darkens with time. The interior is finished with a high-temperature resistant paint and a 1.5-inch rain drain in the bottom to prevent water build-up. Created in Tennessee by artist Rick Wittrig using 100 % American Steel.
"A few years ago we purchased a fire pit for our family. It promptly fell apart and caught the yard on fire. I told my wife Donna “This will not happen again; I will build a better fire pit,” and so I did. When our friends came over they would say, “ Wow, where did you get that?” So I made some for friends and soon started marketing locally. Today we sell in all fifty states including Alaska and Hawaii, across most of Canada (we had one commissioned by the Olympics!), the Bahamas and as far away as Australia. Rick Wittrig, Fire Pit Art
